About the CPKP

program is for you.
This program is designed to provide comprehensive, in-depth education and hands-on training for individuals seeking to become respected professionals in the kink community.
Our curriculum integrates a strong foundation in the ethical principles of BDSM while also addressing the diverse range of kinks and fetishes that may arise in practice. As a participant, you’ll gain the tools, confidence, and community to create inclusive, empowering, and safe experiences for those who engage in consensual kink practices.
Certifying Body
The Kink Professional Standards Alliance (KPSA) is the governing body for all certification programs under its umbrella. KPSA sets and maintains the ethical, professional, and educational standards for kink based care, including Therapeutic BDSM, the Certified Professional Kink Practitioner program, and other approved offerings. KPSA provides rigorous, identity informed, trauma responsive, and community grounded oversight for all credentialing processes.
Why This Program?
This program is being created and offered for those looking for an all-in-one comprehensive program where all necessary training is provided to set you apart from others in the field. Although there are classes available with similar topics, some even for free, you’ll often have to do a bit of legwork and detective work to find a reputable class with ethical teachers. This program eliminates the guesswork and offers you everything you need in one cohesive, rigorous, and well-rounded program.
What to Expect
This 12-month hybrid program begins April 2026 and will equip you with the knowledge and practical skills necessary to work as a kink practitioner, whether you are interested in becoming a top, bottom, or both. The program features a mix of live online sessions and pre-recorded content, designed for individuals who may not have access to in-person training.

*9 months of classroom training (Hybrid: Live virtual + pre-recorded content)
*3 months of specialty training and mentorship
*Included in the program price (integrated mentorship).

KPSA members receive ongoing program benefits as part of the ecosystem. Members may use either the Early Bird Member Rate or the Standard Member Rate depending on when they enroll.

Equity-Based Pricing
Equity-based pricing is reserved for individuals who hold identities that have historically faced structural barriers in clinical, wellness, and kink spaces. This includes, but is not limited to, Black, Indigenous, and people of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people with disabilities, and those from low-income or system-impacted backgrounds.
Equity pricing is offered using an honor system. By selecting the equity rate, participants affirm that this pricing reflects their lived circumstances and access to resources.
If it comes to our attention that equity pricing was selected under false pretenses, the participant may be removed from the program without refund.

Take It as a Stand-Alone or as Foundational Training for TBCN
The Certified Professional Kink Practitioner Program can be taken as a stand-alone certification or as foundational training for those interested in applying for inclusion in the Therapeutic BDSM Collaborative Network (TBCN). For individuals who wish to continue their professional journey within TBCN, this program will give you the necessary tools and ethical grounding to begin the application process.
Discount for Applied Therapeutic BDSM Certification
For those who choose to continue on the path to becoming a pro within the TBCN, you will be eligible for a 50% discount on the Applied Therapeutic BDSM Certification training. This discount ensures that you receive continued professional development and a deeper integration of kink and therapeutic rinciples, further enhancing your ability to serve your clients effectively and ethically.
