Program Overview

The Certified Professional Kink Practitioner (CPKP) Program is a comprehensive certification pathway designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical grounding required to work professionally in kink-centered spaces.

Participants may begin the program through rolling enrollment and move through the curriculum at their own pace. The program combines pre-recorded educational modules, hands-on assignments, and live monthly office hours with educators.

Students may complete the full foundational training or take individual modules and apply them toward certification.

Program Structure:

The CPKP certification pathway consists of two primary phases:

Foundational Training

The foundational curriculum includes nine core modules covering the ethics, practices, and professional responsibilities of kink-centered work.

Participants may complete the foundational training in two ways:

• Enroll in the full foundational program
• Take individual modules at their own pace

Participants who complete the nine foundational modules are eligible to receive the Certified Professional Kink Practitioner (CPKP) certification.

Monthly Office Hours

Participants are invited to attend monthly live office hours with educators.

These sessions provide an opportunity to:

• Ask questions about course material
• Discuss practical application of techniques
• Receive guidance from instructors

Students must attend a minimum of 7 sessions.

Specialty Mastery Tracks

After completing the foundational curriculum, participants may continue into specialty mastery tracks that explore specific kink practices in greater depth.

Specialty tracks are offered periodically throughout the year and include areas such as:

• Impact Play
• Rope Bondage
• Fire Play
• Edge Play

Each specialty track includes advanced instruction and applied learning opportunities.

Participants who complete a mastery track will receive additional certification in their area of specialization.

Months 1–3: Foundational Training

  1. Module 1: Foundations of BDSM and Kink (Month 1)

    History and cultural context of BDSM.

    Key roles: Tops, bottoms, dominants, submissives, and switches.

    Basics of negotiation, consent, and boundary setting.

    Introduction to micro-level consent practices.

  2. Module 2: Professional Ethics and Client Safety (Month 2)

    Ethical frameworks: SSC, RACK, and PRICK. Vetting clients and ensuring safety in scenes. Addressing and mitigating risks.

    Introduction to handling consent violations.

  3. Module 3: Core BDSM Practices (Month 3) Techniques for impact play, rope bondage, and sensory play.

    Understanding pain thresholds and psychological dynamics.

    Adaptive practices for diverse bodies.

Months 4–6: Advanced Techniques and Dynamics

  1. Module 4: Power Exchange and High Protocol Practices (Month 4)

    Authority dynamics in D/s relationships. Rituals, etiquette, and service in high protocol. Ongoing consent in long-term power exchange dynamics.

  2. Module 5: Advanced Techniques and Marginalized Kinks (Month 5)

    Advanced play: Knife play, fire play, and edge play. Addressing less commonly discussed kinks (e.g., ABDL, furry play).

    Risk assessment and negotiation for high-risk scenes.

  3. Module 6: Cultural Competency and Intersectionality (Month 6)

    Addressing biases in kink spaces.

    Intersectionality of race, gender, ability, and identity in kink.

    Creating inclusive and accessible environments.

Months 7–9: Accountability, Trauma, and Professional Skills

  1. Module 7: Trauma-Informed Care in Kink (Month 7)

    Recognizing trauma responses during scenes. Grounding techniques for emotional regulation. Collaborative scene design for trauma-sensitive practice.

  2. Module 8: Consent Violations, Accountability, and Repair (Month 8)

    Handling real and perceived consent violations.

    Strategies for meaningful repair and rebuilding trust.

    Legal and ethical implications of consent breaches.

  3. Module 9: Professionalism, Branding, and Business Skills (Month 9) Building a professional brand and ethical practice. Contracts, pricing, and client confidentiality. Developing a business model for kink practitioners.

Months 10–12: Specialty Tracks with Mentorship

Specialty Tracks: Students select a specialty focus and an elective at the start of Month 10.

Bi-Weekly Group Calls:

Discuss specialty-related challenges and share successes.

Case studies specific to chosen specialties, Work through capstone questions.

Communication Channel

Stay connected with your mentor via their preferred communication method (telegram, email, messenger, etc. parameters to be developed by the specific mentor).

Capstone Project:

Students create a project specific to their specialty to demonstrate not just intellectual understanding but the capacity to masterfully apply their skills in real life through demos.

Requirements

1. Minimum Age Requirement

  • 18 years or older: Applicants must be of legal age to participate in kink-related education and practices.

2. Commitment to Program Values

  • Ethics: Maintaining professional and personal integrity.

3. Personal Statement


A short written statement (500 words or less) answering questions such as:

  • Why are you interested in becoming a Certified Professional Kink Practitioner?

  • What do you hope to gain from this program?

  • How do you plan to apply this training in your personal or professional life?


4. Application Form


Applicants must complete an online application form, which includes:

  • Basic personal information.

  • Experience level in BDSM or kink (if any).

  • Consent to program policies, liability waivers, and the ethical pledge.


5. Financial Commitment

Applicants must confirm their ability to meet the program’s financial requirements, including:

  • Payment of tuition or commitment to an approved payment plan.

  • Sliding scale spots available on a case-by-case basis for those with financial need.


6. Availability and Time Commitment


Applicants must commit to:

  • Approximately 3–5 hours per week depending on the pace at which participants move through the modules.

  • Active participation in the

    monthly office hours.
